Hi there, I’m Nick – and it looks like I’ve created a webpage! I’m an engineering manager originally from New York but am now living in beautiful Southern California. I love the theatre (being from New York City area I’m a big fan of Broadway!) as well as a food + travel enthusiast!
I grew up in Deer Park, NY, a town on Long Island which is one of the suburbs of New York City, with my parents (Carol and Charlie) and my two sisters (Kristine and Rachel). While I was young my mother ran an at-home daycare, which was great as a child since our house was always full of kids! I ended up in Brooklyn for college at Polytechnic University (which then became the Polytechnic Institute of NYU, which is now the NYU Tandon School of Engineering).
Between moving back and forth across the country a few times for work, I met my now partner Thomas back in New York (he’s originally from Brooklyn). We quickly fell in love and decided to make one more move back to California, where we now live with our dog Lola Victoria. We’ve built ourselves a nice life out here on the west coast, though we’ll always miss our New York City home!
I decided to start this website primarily out of a passion for all things computers. I’ll admit that I’m no expert and am always learning more daily, but this was a fun task during our COVID-19 shelter-in-place orders. I’m hoping to make a few pages to show you some recipes of mine (I learned many from my father, a chef / upholsterer in New York) and give you some travel ideas (my mother passed down that well-known travel itch of mine!).
I’d love for you to get to know me more and what makes me, well, me! Feel free to explore my new website and let me know if you have any great new suggestions for me to try! I hope you find my life as much fun as I do!
